Library Assistant, part time
We have
ongoing openings for library assistants to work in law firm and corporate libraries. Excellent opportunity for an MLIS student.
Responsibilities include checking in library mail, claiming, copy cataloging, invoice processing, and general administrative
library work.

Duties: - Perform original and copy cataloging of book, digital and online
resources as well as historical collection using AACR2, LCSH and LC classification
2. Provide descriptive cataloging with full MARC content. Assign subject
headings and classification number to library materials using Library of Congress standards. Perform authority
research and subject analysis as needed. 3
Work with technical services manager on administrative projects relating to quality control and catalog maintenance
Qualifications: MLIS with 1-3 years of cataloging experience;
Knowledge of MARC format,AACR2, LC Classification and subject headings and OCLC Connexion. Experience using an integrated library
system. Ability to multitask
among various projects.

Records Specialist Responsibilities:• Responsible
for researching file requests and retrieving requested files, locating files, process requests to retrieve requested
files from storage, managing the data in the records management database. • Responsible for maintenance and
organization of the Records Center, including ensuring there is enough space for new files, re-shelving files
as they are returned to the file room and sending less used files to off-site storage from the file room to keep enough space
available for active files. • Handles special projects as they are assigned. Education and Experience Required:Undergraduate degree or substantial records and information management experience in place of degree Knowledge and Skills:• Knowledge of records and information management theory and practices • Ability
to work collaboratively on team projects and establish positive working relationships with the client and team members alike • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, problem solve and work under minimal supervision • Significant
attention to detail • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Excellent interpersonal
skills • Proficiency in Microsoft
