Project Manager - Position Filled!

Our client is a marketing communications, public outreach, and stakeholder engagement agency based in Emeryville. They are a tight-knit team of inspired, creatively minded people with a strong client service culture, and provide a full range of integrated communications and engagement services in the fields of transportation, environmental planning, engineering, water resources, and construction. 
 
They specialize in public outreach, stakeholder engagement, and marketing communications.  As a Project Manager, you’ll use your outreach and engagement expertise to be a driving force to keep projects, team, and deliverables on track. They are a growing and thriving agency, so you will need to be responsible, collaborative, and move quickly yet precisely within an evolving, fast-paced environment.
 
This is a full-time position, with lots of opportunity for growth, depending on your interests and skills.
 
Duties:

  • Manage several major public outreach and stakeholder engagement campaigns for multi-faceted, high-profile            projects, or serve as a deputy project manager to one of the principals on larger projects
  • Guide team in developing innovative high-level strategies and solutions to meet client expectations and project needs
  • Plan and manage project work scopes, schedules, budgets, client invoicing, and deliverables
  • Oversee and coordinate collaboration with other team members
  • Main point-of-contact for client and project team interactions to ensure that client interactions are informed and seamless 
  • Respond to day-to-day client requests
  • Attend all team meetings to keep team informed of client goals and deliverables
  • Perform and ensure quality assurance/quality control for deliverables

You must have …
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years’ experience in communications, writing, marketing; 5+ years’ experience in project management
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to develop and integrate key messages into a communications program
  • Outstanding, compelling writing and storytelling skills, and an eye for excellent graphic design
  • Experience collaborating with and managing internal specialists and/or external vendors for web, video, graphic design, printing, mailing, and translation needs
 
It’d be great if you had...
  • Track record as a senior consultant in a communications or marketing/PR agency, or a communications director at a company or organization
  • Prior experience in the transportation, engineering, environmental, water resources, planning, or construction industries
  • Prior experience or familiarity with NEPA and CEQA environmental processes and documentation
  • Experience working with project and task management tools such as Teamwork, or similar
  • Familiarity with government contracts (federal, state, and/or local)
 
This is a full-time non-exempt role with an expected hourly pay range of $55.00/hour ($114,400 annually) to $75.00/hour ($156,000 annually). Vacation and sick leave, a healthcare stipend, 401K, and other benefits, pending eligibility. Hybrid schedule of in-office (Emeryville) and remote work currently in place. Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. required.
